摘要: Background: Galls of Quercus infectoria have been traditionally used to treat common ailments, including yeast infections caused by Candida species. Objective: This study aimed evaluate the in vitro anti-Candida activity Q. gall extracts against selected Materials and Methods: Methanol aqueous galls were tested for albicans, krusei, glabrata, parapsilosis tropicalis. The minimum inhibitory concentrations determined using two-fold serial dilution technique ranging from 16 mg/ml 0.03 mg/ml. After 24 h, fungicidal subculturing wells, which showed no turbidity on agar plate. Potential phytochemical group crude was screened qualitative tests subsequently subjected gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis. Results: Both methanol displayed substantial pyrogallol major component both extracts. Conclusions: Data current suggested that are a potential source be developed as anti-candidiasis.
