摘要: The Y chromosome plays a critical role in spermatogenesis. Formerly, it had been difficult to generate knockout mice with specific mutations using conventional gene-targeting strategies. Recently, transcription activator-like effector nuclease (TALEN) was successfully used for editing mouse chromosome-linked gene. Here, we report the generation of model mutation Eif2s3y, gene, and analysis its phenotype. carrying targeted Eif2s3y infertile hypoplastic testes. Histological electron microscopic analyses showed that differentiation spermatogonia arrested at stage spermatogonial stem cells (undifferentiated spermatogonia) progression spermatogenesis interrupted, resulting azoospermia. Using TALEN, verified EIF2S3Y performs key function cells.
