摘要: Angiogenesis involves neovascularization or the formation of new capillaries from existing blood vessels and is associated with processes tissue inflammation, wound healing, tumorigenesis. Recent studies this laboratory show that moderate restriction dietary energy intake (dietary restriction, DR) has powerful anti-angiogenic pro-apoptotic effects against CT-2A experimental mouse astrocytoma. DR reduces glucose levels while elevating ketone bodies. As most brain tumour cells are dependent on glycolysis for due to mitochondrial defects, they unable switch bodies energy. An source shift will enhance bioenergetic potential normal reducing cell growth inflammation. It suggested cancer therapeutics reduce growth, also food body weight, may operate in large part through DR.
