摘要: BACKGROUND The thickness of the cortical mantle is a sensitive measure for identifying alterations in structure. We aimed to explore whether first episode schizophrenia patients already show significant thinning and anomalies may significantly influence clinical cognitive features. METHOD investigated regional changes large heterogeneous sample spectrum (n=142) at their break illness healthy controls (n=83). Magnetic resonance imaging brain scans (1.5 T) were obtained images analyzed by using brains2. contribution sociodemographic, characterictics was investigated. RESULTS Patients showed total (F=17.55, d=-0.62, p 0.53). No group×gender interactions observed (all p's>0.15). There no associations between pre-morbid variables measurements r's<0.12). A weak negative correlation attention (r=-0.24, p=0.021) parietal (r=-0.27, p=0.009) found (thicker cortex associated with lower attention). Our data revealed similar pattern related age controls. CONCLUSIONS Cortical independent gender, age, onset duration does not seem functional symptomatology. These findings support primary neurodevelopment disorder affecting normal cerebral development schizophrenia.
